What’s On
Headcorn Health Walks April
£40 Wednesday 6th: Meet at 09.30 for a 09.45 start just inside Station Approach, Hollingbourne ME17 1TX,
£35 over 65’s which is just before the railway bridge over Eyhorne Street, for an approx 3.25 mile walk (about 90 minutes).
No stiles. We will be walking over public footpaths, part of Pilgrims Way (which although hard surfaced can
be a bit rough in places), bridleways and some quiet country lanes. Some light gradients. Stout footwear is
recommended.
Wednesday 13th: Meet at 9.30 for a 9.45am start on Days Green (opposite the White Horse Pub) Headcorn,
for a 45 minute social stroll around the village at a pace to suit everyone. We may cross fields near the village
so please wear suitable footwear. Parking is available along Kings Road adjacent to Days Green and along
other streets in the vicinity.
Wednesday 20th: Meet at 9.30 for a 9.45 start at the Woodland Trust car park in Hucking (ME17 1QT)
for a pleasant 90 minute walk in the Woodland Trust on footpaths with some ups and downs but nothing
strenuous. We may see bluebells, purple orchids and wild anemones and have some beautiful views if it is a
clear day.
Directions and Start: Take the road signed to Hollingbourne off the A20. Proceed through the village and
Guaranteed Results all the way up a very steep hill to where the road begins to flatten out. Take the road to the left signposted
Hucking. Proceed carefully along this narrow road for 1.2 miles and then take another road to the left, again
7 Days a Week Call-out signposted Hucking. Very shortly you will see the Woodland Trust car park on your left.
